How to play Kingdom Come: Deliverance II multiplayer

Install KCDS next to your copy of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, start it and join a server.

Before you startYou need Kingdom Come: Deliverance II version 1.5.5 on Steam, Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) and the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime, which Windows 11 already has.

1. Download KCDS

Get KCDS-Client.zip from the Download page. Its SHA-256 checksum is listed there.

2. Unpack it

Unpack the zip anywhere outside the game folder, for example C:\Games\KCDS. KCDS writes nothing into the game folder.

3. Start the launcher

Start Steam, then run kcds-launcher.exe. If the launcher asks where the game is, point it at KingdomCome.exe, or set gameExecutable in kcds-launcher.json to its full path, with doubled backslashes:

{
  "gameExecutable": "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\KingdomComeDeliverance2\\Bin\\Win64MasterMasterSteamPGO\\KingdomCome.exe"
}

The launcher updates KCDS by itself every time it starts.

4. Join a server

Pick a server in the in-game server browser. To join one server straight away, set serverAddress in kcds-launcher.json:

{
  "serverAddress": "203.0.113.7:7777"
}

Leave it empty to choose in the server browser again. The server list on this site shows every listed server.

5. When something goes wrong

A crash report goes to our own crash server by itself. The FAQ has the common fixes, and the status page shows whether our services are up.
