LocalVoice

Client only. This player's voice chat: what state it is in, how they talk, and which rooms change how voices sound. The player chooses push-to-talk or voice activation in the voice chat part of the game's Settings > Sound Settings page, and the keys in the game's controls settings.

localVoice.isEnabled()

LocalVoice.isEnabled()

Whether this server has voice chat on.

localVoice.hasMicrophone()

LocalVoice.hasMicrophone()

Whether a microphone could be opened. Without one the player still hears others.

localVoice.isTransmitting()

LocalVoice.isTransmitting()

Whether this player's voice is going out now.

localVoice.isMuted()

LocalVoice.isMuted()

Whether the server silenced this player.

localVoice.isDeaf()

LocalVoice.isDeaf()

Whether the server made this player hear nobody.

localVoice.getTier()

LocalVoice.getTier()

The tier this player talks in: 'whisper', 'normal' or 'shout'.

localVoice.requestTier()

LocalVoice.requestTier(tier)

Asks the server for another tier. The server's voiceTierRequest event can refuse it, so read getTier afterwards.

localVoice.getMode()

LocalVoice.getMode()

How this player talks: 'push' for push-to-talk or 'voice' for voice activation.

localVoice.setMode()

LocalVoice.setMode(mode)

Sets how this player talks, and keeps it on this computer.

localVoice.setZones()

LocalVoice.setZones(zones)

Sets the places where voices sound different on this client, replacing the last list. A zone that covers the listener gives the room's echo, and one between a talker and the listener adds its occlusion. Throws on a bad zone and changes nothing.
